Josh Hart - impressive customer service

After a gap of about 24 hours with a corrupt database at the server end, we’re up and running again. Hooray! Losing your site is like getting locked out of your house, having your car and your bike stolen, with camera and overcoat in the panniers. Still, it was a chance to sort out the Newswire on Tumblr, and reinstate Twitter. If you’re using one of those, please feel free to sub via RSS or whatever is your taste.

A big thankyou to Josh who has hosted these sites for as many years as the wayback machine can remember, and who keeps a cool head and a quiet smile when everything around him is running wildly amok.

Recognised a fair few people at the Birmingham Blogger meet the other evening: watched the whole thing too. If you’re in there somewhere, please pipe up. Me and Mr Pete (a different Pete) will be keeping an eye on this pending our north-east artists’ website training starting later this month. There are quite possibly some uhm:

I’ve moved server too, which was very, very dull. Also: tumblr. It seems like a fun service…

I’m staying where I am, but I did upgrade to 2.5 without a single hitch. ha. I’ve just put the RSS to the tumblr ‘Newswire’ on the top right sidebar. Could you please check that it works for you? ta ;)

Thanks. I’m so glad we’re not doing all this palaver at the a-n course - yet! I can see it being suitable in the autumn though, for more than a few of them.

Looking for WP/php code wranglers, volunteers or Paypal donations, or somesuch for this gang, and for me. Do you know people who could get the ball rolling for us?
